December 17th- Paula Abdul participates in the "America Has Heart" benefit at the Universal Amphitheatre, to raise money for the Red Cross Disaster Relief Fund, depleted by Hurricane Hugo and the San Francisco earthquake.

December 23rd- Abdul wins "Top Pop Album Artist, Female" in Billboard's "The Year In Music," one of three #1 feats in this year's round-up.
