August 2nd- Kylie Minogue's "Spinning Around" was cowritten by Paula Abdul and debuted at #1 on both the British and Australian official national charts!

"Spinning Around," the first fruit from Kylie Minogue's forthcoming album "Light Years" is her 5th number one hit, her 15th top 5, 17th top 10 and her 27th consecutive top 20 hit in the UK!

August 4th- A fan reports that Paula has been working with Andy Fickman on a pilot for a show on MTV titled "Skirts".

August 5th- Virgin Records tentatively schedules Paula's greatest hits package tentatively titled, "The Best Of..." for release on September 26th.

August 16th- VH1 is currently working on a show titled "The Top 100 Dance Songs."  Paula's video "Straight Up" will be one of the videos featured on the show.
