ABDUL'S JOB GOES TO SEACREST

Singer Paula Abdul has been left without her planned summer job hosting
new talent show "American Juniors" -- because the post has gone to "American Idol" host Ryan Seacrest.

Last month, reports emerged that the singer was in advanced talks to take up hosting duties on the "American Idol" spin-off show which premiered last night.

The show is a search for singers between the ages of six and 13 who will eventually form a five-member group.
