Famed singer-dancer Paula Abdul recently put her Beverly Hills-area home on the market for $2.7 million, according to the Los Angeles Times.

Abdul purchased the home in 1990 from a builder after it was completed.

The house has five bedrooms in 6,800 square feet and a lagoon-styled pool with an island and a beach.

Described as "Gothic Spanish," the house, located in a guard-gated community also has a gym, koi pond and fountain.

The pop star says she decided to sell her home of five years because she wants "a new beginning" now that she has remarried.

Abdul, 34, recently wed  sportswear manufacturer Brad Beckerman, 30,
(JET Nov. 18).

She was previously married to actor Emilio Estevez.

Abdul says that she also was prompted to sell her home because she "wants to live closer to the water."
